Your paint code is typically located on a sticker inside the driver's door jamb. If you don't see it, try the glove box, trunk, or check paint code locations for your specific make. It may also be under the hood. The code is usually 2-4 characters (like "040" for Toyota Super White or "LY9B" or "A2" for Audi Brilliant Black).

Clearcoat is required for all repairs. Without clearcoat, your paint color will not match the final finish. Some motorcycles don't have paint codes, but if your make, year, and model are correct, the color will match. Wait at least 48 hours before washing or polishing to allow the paint to fully cure. Avoid automatic car washes for at least 72 hours. Hand washing with gentle soap is best.
